I've always liked the Alberg designs, as Mr. Alberg spent many years as a part of the design team of John Alden, and all of his designs reflect that lineage! 'Island Time' is an excellent example of this classic, full-keeled cruiser, with a blue-water cruising history second to none! Sea-kindly, weatherly and easy to handle, the Alberg 37 is an excellent choice for cruising couples with a taste for classic yacht design. 'Island Time' has just returned from a summer-long cruise to Maine, and has spent a number of Winters in the Bahamas (a snowbird boat!). 'Island Time' was originally yawl-rigged, but the mizzen was considered too small to be of use, and obstructed the windvane and other equipment aft, and so the mizzen was removed (though chainplates remain). The yacht has been repowered with a new Beta Marine diesel in 2007, along with a new shaft, stuffing box, cutless bearing and propeller, along with many other upgrades.
